The design for the Opening Night Gala, themed This Is Passion, took cues from the lively spirit of Don Quixote, which opened the 2019 Repertory Season. A palette of reds, oranges, golds and fuchsias, paired with a bold modernist font set the tone. Overlaying dramatic black and white images of principal dancers lent a sense of both the classical and edgy-contemporary core of this world class company.
